Event Date(s): 02/08/2008 - 03/08/2008

Location: JFK Lecture Theatre

The Department of Creative and Festival Arts will host a special benefit concert in aid of the education of Ms. Hannah Howard and Mr. Maurice Rawlins, entitled 'Two Stories, One Passion'. The benefit concert will be on Saturday 2nd August at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday 3rd August at 6:30 p.m. at the JFK Lecture Theatre, UWI St. Augustine. Tickets cost $100.

Mr. Rawlins is intending to pursue a master's degree in Environment and Development at University of Edinburgh, and Ms. Howard was offered a partial scholarship to complete her theatre degree in the USA.

The concert will feature performances from the recently concluded 'Sound of Music', and excerpts from 'Fiddler on the Roof', 'Oliver!' and 'Crazy for You'. For those of you who saw The Sound of Music, Hannah played the role of Maria and Maurice played the role of Uncle Max. Also included will be pan, dance and other musical performances. The name, 'Two Stories... One Passion' was conceptualised based on their desire to relentlessly pursue their passion. At the genesis there were 'Two stories ' but now they have come together because of 'One Passion.' This benefit concert will take them one step closer to fulfilling their lifetime goals. For tickets please contact Mr. Maurice Rawlins at 484-5825; Ms. Hannah Howard- 786-3551 .
