The Department of Literary, Cultural and Communication Studies invites the Campus community to a FREE webinar entitled “The Question of Trust and Credibility in the Media: Rebuilding Trust in the Age of AI” on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom, in observance of Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2026.
In an era where artificial intelligence is transforming how information is created, shared and consumed, how can we distinguish fact from fiction, and who can we trust?
Featuring speakers from the Media Association of Trinidad and Tobago (MATT) and other invited participants, this discussion will examine the challenges of maintaining media credibility and public trust in an increasingly AI-driven digital landscape. It will also explore the shared responsibility of individuals, media professionals and institutions in promoting media literacy, combating misinformation and rebuilding confidence in the information we consume.
