Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago- two day workshop

Event Date(s): 03/09/2008 - 04/09/2008

The Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) in collaboration with the Educational Credential Evaluators of the United States of America (USA) will host a two-day workshop entitled: "Forensics of Academic Credential and CV Fraud" on 3rd to 4th September, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

This workshop will train participants in techniques to detect fraudulent credentials and CVs tendered by unscrupulous persons. Facilitated by international experts from the USA, the workshop is specially designed for registrars and administrative staff of tertiary institutions, human resource professionals, fraud detection and other law enforcement officers, and professionals involved in consumer protection.

The incidence of credential fraud is on the rise and those in attendance will be given the tools of the trade which are required to protect their organisations. They will learn to detect fraudulent institutions (diploma mills) and programmes and to identify CV misrepresentation. Foreign experts will share examples of forged, altered and counterfeit documents so that participants can gain hands-on experience in analysing them.

The registration fee for the workshop is $2,500.00 per participant, inclusive of lunch, refreshments and working materials. Participants will also receive a free fraud detection tool kit and will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the two day workshop.

Registration is limited as space is available.
