The Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social & Economic Studies (SALISES) will host a forum titled, “Is there a Looming Financial Crisis in the Caribbean?” on Thursday 2nd October, 2008, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the SALISES Conference Centre, UWI St. Augustine Campus.

Panellists for the forum will be Mr. Carl Hiralal, Inspector, Financial Institutions, Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago; Ms. Catherine Kumar, Chairman, Bankers’ Association of Trinidad & Tobago and Dr. De Lisle Worrell, Executive Director, Caribbean Centre for Money and Finance and

Mr Brent Salvary, General Manager, Caribbean Money Market Brokers Securities and Asset Management Limited.

 

The session will be chaired by Dr. Patrick Watson, Director of SALISES.

Members of the media, the University Community and the general public are all invited to attend and to take part in the discussions that will follow the presentation of the panellists. Light refreshments will be served.
