7th Nobel Laureate Lecture- Labour Surplus Revisited

The seventh lecture of The UWI 2008 Nobel Laureate Celebrations is carded for Monday 8th December, 2008 at 7.00 p.m. This lecture will be held at the Learning Resource Centre, UWI, St. Augustine Campus. The feature lecture will be presented by Professor Gustav Ranis on the topic “Labour Surplus Revisited.” Gustav Ranis is the Frank Altschul Professor Emeritus of International Economics at Yale University. He was also a Carnegie Corporation Scholar (2004-2006). His primary focus is Third World development and he has produced more than twenty books and 300 articles on both theoretical and policy-related issues of development.
