The Department of Creative and Festival Arts will present its 14^th Ensemble Recital, entitled “More than Voices and Steel”, at the Open Campus Auditorium, Gordon Street, St. Augustine on Sunday 26^th April, 2009 at 4.00 p.m. This performance features approximately 120 students, with each student performing in at least two ensembles.

Seven ensembles will be featured for the evening’s performance: the Festival Arts Chorale, The UWI Percussion Ensemble, Afro-Caribbean Rhythm Band (African Drums), Steelpan Ensembles including the UWI Festival Steel Ensemble, and the UWI Caribbean Contemporary Music Workshop (a combination of electronic, steel, woodwind and brass instruments). A wide repertoire of music will be performed by the ensembles: Classical, Calypso, Folk and Jazz.

General Admission: $50.00; Students: $30.00; Children under 12 years: free admission.
