Medical practitioners will gather to tackle asthma at the launch of the ‘Caribbean Asthma Guidelines’. This launch is expected to sensitise medical practitioners to the need for Asthma Guidelines, and to provide a forum to discuss recent changes in asthma care in the Caribbean.
Professors Lexley Pinto Perreira (Department of Para-Clinical Sciences) and Terence Seemungal FRCP PhD (Department of Clinical Medical Sciences) will be the feature speakers at the launch, which will take place at Marriott’s Hotel, Invader's Bay on Tuesday 30th June, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.
The lecture and launch, which are hosted by The University of the West Indies (UWI), Faculty of Medical Sciences, in collaboration with The Caribbean Health Research Council, will be of interest to medical practitioners in the Caribbean region. The events are supported by unrestricted educational grants from AstraZeneca Boehringer Ingelheim, GlaxoSmithKline, and Merk Sharp & Dome.
