PhD student in Applied Mathematics, Ms. Joanna Sooknanan, will be hosting a seminar titled "Applications of Mathematical Epidemiology," on Thursday 22nd October, 2009, from 3-4 p.m. in FSA room 313.
Abstract:
Modelling of social phenomena using models from Mathematical Epidemiology is becoming increasingly popular. This talk explores the mathematical modelling of infectious diseases and looks at some unusual applications.
