Lunch Time Seminar Series: Trying to Make Sense of Men (and their Health-Seeking Behaviour)

Event Date(s): 28/10/2009

Location: Institute of Gender & Development Studies’ Seminar Room

The Men's Health Caravan is presenting a seminar titled "Trying to Make Sense of Men (and their Health-Seeking Behaviour)." It will take place on October 28th, 2009, at 12 p.m., in the Institute of Gender and Development Studies seminar room.

The Men's Health Caravan is a programme initiative of the Gender Affairs Division of the Ministry of Community Development Culture and Gender Affairs.  This explores the relationship between policy and practice. Specifically it seeks to address the poor health-seeking behaviour of men. The Programme is a relatively new one, and it is one which seeks to create an understanding around masculinity and health within the larger context of setting an equitable approach to the work on Gender & Development nationally.

Mr. Ian Miller and Mr. Kerwyn Aigle, representatives of the Gender Affairs Division, Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, will be presenting this seminar.
