What Does the CARIFORUM EC EPA Mean for Domestic Policy in T&T?

The UWI Institute of International Relations (IIR), in association with CAIC, ITTCIC, TTCIC, TTCSI & TTMA, will host a weekend workshop, led by Professor Jane Kelsey from New Zealand, on the topic ‘What Does the CARIFORUM EC EPA Mean for Domestic Policy in T&T?’ It will take place from Friday 13th - Saturday 14th November, 2009, at the IIR.

Professor Jane Kelsey is one of New Zealand’s best-known critical commentators on issues of globalization & structural adjustment. She has taught at the Faculty of Law at the University of Auckland since 1979 specialising in socio-legal studies, policy & international economic regulation.  She travels extensively talking on the New Zealand experiment & globalization, especially the GATS. Her publications include the best-selling The New Zealand Experiment: a world model for structural adjustment? & most recently Serving Whose Interests? The political economy of trade in services agreements (Routledge, 2008). This weekend workshop will be based on the latter, which will be available in the UWI Bookshop, with the recent CARIFORUM-EC EPA as the case study.
