Festival of Plays

Location: Learning Resource Centre, UWI, St. Augustine


The UWI Department of Creative and Festival Arts, Theatre Arts Unit, presents its Festival of Plays, at the Learning Resource Centre, UWI, St. Augustine. Students pursuing a BA in Theatre Arts at the Department of Creative and Festival Arts, will be staging theatrical presentations for public viewing as part of the Directing II Course.

6.00 p.m. Back to Methuselah by George Bernard Shaw, Directed by: Michael Cherrie 

8.00 p.m.Heaven by David Edgecombe, Directed by: Christine Hannays 

 

Thursday 26th November, 2009

6.00 p.m.Flight Through Fantasy by Zeno Obi Constance, Directed by: Dionese Sylvester 

8.00 p.m.Wey Wey by Errol Hill, Directed by: Elliot Francois 

 

Friday 27th November, 2009

6.00 p.m.Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare, Directed by: Sara Chow Quan 

8.00 p.m.Vagina Monologues by Eve Elsner, Directed by Rashida Harding 

 

The public is invited to attend these theatrical presentations. We also encourage the attendance of Secondary school students who will find the presentations useful in relation to Theatre Arts, Literature and the CAPE syllabus.
