The "T&T-Indian Cine-Club", a collaboration between the Film Programme at The University of the West Indies, The High Commission of India, and The Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Cultural Co-operation, will be launched on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 5.30pm followed by a screening of the Hindi blockbuster film, ‘Om Shanti Om’ (Farah Khan, 2007). The event will be held in the Studio in the Film Programme building at #12 Carmody Road, St. Augustine.
The T&T-Indian Cine-Club will screen films in Hindi and other Indian languages (with English subtitles) twice a month. The screening schedule is attached below, and includes popular and art cinema classics. Come and experience a variety of films from one of the oldest and the most prolific film industries of the world.
All screenings start at 6.30pm (except the first one on January 19) and are free and open to the public.
The films will be screened in the Studio in the Film Programme building at #12 Carmody Road, St. Augustine. The films will be introduced by film experts, including faculty from the UWI Film Programme.
