CETL Cool Tools in Education Workshop

The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) presents the Cool Tools in Education workshop with Justin Zephyrine.

The workshop takes place November 30 from 1 to 4.30pm at the CETL Technology Lab, Ground Floor, Teaching and Learning Complex (TLC).

About the Workshop

Through technology, the world of education and blended learning is evolving every day. From Delicious and Prezi to Twitter and Twiddla, there is a plethora of exciting technology tools that are not only free but easily available and convenient. Within blended learning, these tools can be strategically and effectively used to enhance the teaching and learning experience. This workshop will introduce participants to Youtube in mp4, Padlet and Poll Everywhere, and will also illustrate the ways in which these tools can be used to effectively enhance teaching and learning.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Describe cool tools in education
  • Produce polls using Poll Everywhere
  • Create interactive virtual walls using Padlet
  • Use video converters for downloading videos towards educational ends
  • Identify the most appropriate technology tools for course delivery
