The Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA) presents The UWI Arts Chorale and Steel present the Cantique de Noel concert.
The concert takes place on November 26 at 6.30pm at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Curepe. Tickets cost $150.
The programme features music of French composers with songs in French, Latin, and Haitian Creole and is a celebration of the Advent and Christmas seasons as well as a commemoration for the departed during the month of November. The featured work is a complete performance of the Fauré Requiem conducted by nationally recognised conductor Jessel Murray with guest soloists Krisson Joseph and Aniya Carty-Hart. The concert will also feature the UWI Arts Trombone Quartet and vocal soloists as well as new choral and steel arrangements of popular Christmas standards including “Do You Hear What I Hear?”, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “I Will Be Home for Christmas”.
