In 2018, The University of the West Indies (The UWI) family celebrated the double milestones of its 70^th anniversary and the 10^th year since its Open Campus was established.

The stream goes live on December 19 at 4pm at www.uwitv.org where UWI staff, students, alumni, partners and friends all over the world will gather virtually for the 70^th anniversary year finale.

About the 70th Anniversary Year Finale Celebration

Themed, Opening The UWI to the World: The Next 70 years, and hosted by The UWI Open Campus, this occasion will feature a look back at the year’s most memorable moments and achievements, messages from partners and a special keynote from Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Hilary Beckles on the next phase for a more globally agile and engaged regional University, digitally-driven with deeper commitment to science and technology innovation and aligned intimately with Caribbean entrepreneurial strategies.
