DMLL Hosts the UWI Annual Foreign Language Theatre Festival

The Department of Modern Languages & Linguistics presents the UWI Annual Foreign Language Theatre Festival.

Students from our campus, as well as other tertiary institutions will be showcasing exciting theatrical pieces in English, French, Patois, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish!

Experience different cultures through theatre at the Festival which runs from May 21 to 23 and look out for surprises and giveaways!

This event is free and open to the public.

The schedule is below:

  • Tuesday May 21 | 4.30 to 7.45pm | Opening of Festival, DCFA guest performance and more at Centre for Language Learning (CLL) Auditorium
  • Wednesday May 22 | 9.30am to 1pm | Tai Chi, Plays, Calligraphy and more at Centre for Language Learning (CLL) Auditorium

Special Performances

  • El Método Gronhölm (performed in Spanish) – May 22 | 5pm | NALIS Port-of-Spain (POS)
  • Mamma Mia! (performed in French) – May 23 | 5pm | Alliance Française Port-of-Spain (POS)
