CETL Presents the Preparing for Assessment Virtual Workshop

The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) presents the Preparing for Assessment virtual workshop as part of a four-part series.

The workshop takes place on May 16 from 1 to 2pm online with presenter Mr. Henry Paul.

About the workshop

This workshop explores the issues related to planning effective classroom assessment in the context of 21st century teaching and learning. Emphasis is placed on assessment methods and ‘assessment as learning’.

This workshop is intended to initiate deep conversations among colleagues about higher education assessment so as to enhance practice related to lecturers’ approach to student assessment. Lecturers would glean the relationship between the Curriculum Matrix and the Assessment Plan as critical documentation underpinning higher education assessment.  Ultimately, it is hoped that the session would help broaden lecturers’ knowledge-based about higher education assessment and so enhance their approach to this critical aspect of teaching/learning.

  • What are the Benefits of Assessments?
  • What is an assessment plan?
  • How do I create an assessment plan?
