Communication Studies Research Day

The Department of Literary, Cultural & Communication Studies presents their 2015 Research Day, under the theme “3rd Eyes: Communication Beyond Perception.”

Research day gives third-year students an opportunity to showcase their “out of the box” creativity, commitment and ability to conduct research for the public as well as the private sector(s) in the areas of social development, organisational behavior, public policy, educational research and numerous other areas. 

This event takes place on Thursday April 9 at Daaga Auditorium from 5 to 9pm

This year’s Feature Speaker is Justice Laura D. Blackburne - Retired New York State Supreme Court Justice.

Justice Blackburne has been devoted to public and community service in the local, National and International arena for more than 45 years.  She has been a sensitive jurist with solid judicial skills; a dynamic law professor; a gifted mediator, a creative conflict manager; an innovative and energetic administrator; a fearless Chair of the New York City Housing Authority; a tireless and effective civil rights advocate, and a vibrant public speaker.

Event Programme:

·         5-6.15pm- Poster Presentation

·         6.30 – 8pm – Feature Presentation by Judge Laura D. Blackburne and student presentations

·         8-9pm – Reception
