Enter FFA's Grow Your Garden Competition! ☼

Posted Tuesday, June 30, 2020

The Faculty of Food and Agriculture (FFA) invites all staff members to participate in the Grow Your Garden Competition – Grow What You Eat and Eat What You Grow.

This initiative is aimed at encouraging our campus community to start home gardening and achieve excellence and innovation in their gardening practices. Particularly as the national community remains dependent on imported foods, with supplies subjected to internal and external shocks affecting food security and resilience. The current pandemic has shone a spotlight on the need to increase food production and access, but also cultural changes in food preferences.

FFA as the primary teaching and research faculty in agriculture recognizes the importance of this movement and lends support for you to start your garden and reward your efforts with a host of prizes to be won.

This competition is open to all members of staff from curious plant-lovers to seasoned green thumbs and runs from July 1 to August 31.
