CAPS Semester II Outreach Initiatives

Counselling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is offering outreach services by appointment, Mondays to Fridays throughout Semester II. Scheduling an appointment on a day and time that suits your schedule is easy. Simply visit here. Appointments are presently available online or via the telephone only.

Services include:

Appointments with a counsellor: Counsellors are available by appointment, Mondays through Fridays throughout the semester

Virtual Walk-ins: Virtual walk-ins are available on Thursday afternoons, at 1-4pm during the semester, starting from 21st January 2021. Counsellors offer brief, online consultations for students with urgent concerns. The registration link opens every Thursday morning at 9am and can be accessed here 

Safe Space weekly group meetings: Safe Space will include virtual weekly group meetings throughout the semester to facilitate ongoing discussions on topics such as negotiating different sexualities within our Caribbean context, exploring the fluidity of gender identity, dating and relationship dynamics, relationships with family and peers, sex, self esteem, body image, religion…. and more.

Mindful Mondays for meditation & relaxation: Invest 60 minutes to nurture a more relaxed you, every day and explore ways to manage stress, as well as learn simple everyday skills of Mindfulness & Meditation.
