The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of The West Indies is hosting a three-day Transportation Symposium 2021: “Towards A Sustainable, Efficient Transportation System” on 17^th – 19^th May 2021 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. This is a follow-up to the Transportation Symposium 2019 which began the conversation on the key issues facing the transportation sector of Trinidad & Tobago. The Symposium will address subject areas such as:-

(i)                 Revitalising Towns

(ii)               Road Transport Safety

(iii)             Private Sector Participation in Public Transport Services

(iv)             Green Transport Solutions

(v)               Role of Intelligent Transportation Systems in Future Mobility.

The structure of the Symposium is as follows:

·         Day 1 – Presentations of Sub-Themes

·         Day 2 – Interactive Workshops

·         Day 3 – Presentation of Action Agendas
