CALL FOR ABSTRACTS DEADLINE EXTENDED: The Faculty of Food and Agriculture

The Faculty of Food and Agriculture has extended the Call for Abstracts for its upcoming Virtual Conference on “Celebrating a Hundred Years of Agricultural Research and Innovation: Perspectives on Tropical Food and Agricultural Systems”. This Virtual Conference comes as a part of The Centennial Legacy Celebrations of Agriculture at The UWI and aims to highlight global perspectives on Food and Agricultural Systems, relevant to Caribbean Small Island Developing States. 

Submission are to be made under the following themes: 

  • Innovative Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security - Contemporary approaches to food and agriculture, that can enhance food and nutrition security at all levels and sustainability of food production systems.   
  • Disaster Risk Management and Climate Resilient Agriculture. - Disaster risk management strategies, techniques and frameworks geared towards climate resilient agricultural and environmental systems.   
  • Data, Information and Communication Technology - Data analytics, information and communication technology and innovative technologies in agri-food systems, extension services and related disciplines.   
  • Governance and the Enabling Environment in Agriculture. - Policy development and implementation, stakeholder incentives schemes and innovative partnerships.   
  • Enhancing Life and Livelihoods in Agriculture. - Vulnerable groups/sectors, gender related issues and other socio-economic aspects of food systems, agriculture, and agriculture related disciplines.
