CAPS Services this Semester

The Counselling & Psychological Service (CAPS), under the Division of Student Services & Development (DSSD), welcomes you to the start of a new academic year.  Whether you wish to make a virtual appointment for yourself with a counsellor to check in, or to learn some mindfulness for stress management, we invite you to make a commitment to taking extra care of yourself so you can put your best foot forward this semester. Safe Space open session this Friday.

Whether you are a member or an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Safe Space welcomes all students. Weekly student groups meet online throughout the semester to build connections, and to discuss sex, sexuality, gender, wellbeing, stress management and more! If you are interested in joining CAPS this semester, you are invited to a virtual session this Friday (17th September) from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. You can meet the facilitators and past participants to learn more about the weekly sessions.

Mindful Mondays are back!

Every Monday from 5:30 p.m. throughout the semester, we host an hour of relaxation to help you start your week in the right frame of mind. Learn basic mindfulness techniques and try different meditations for wellbeing and stress management in a comfortable and informal atmosphere. Beginners are welcome!

Virtual Walk-ins on a Thursday

Every Thursday afternoon, brief consultations are available with a counsellor for urgent situations. Students can register anytime from 9 a.m. each Thursday via our website
