Recent Phishing Attacks

Campus IT Services wishes to advise off a new Phishing Email sent to students. This new phishing site looks very similar to the official student portal.

All such Phishing emails prompt you to click on a link which directs you to a page to enter your login credentials.

We strongly advise that you:

  • DO NOT click on any links in this email
  • DO NOT submit your username and password

An example of the most recent phishing email reported to Campus IT is listed below. Such emails may seem to come from a student email address:


The CLICK HERE link in the Phishing email above takes you to the following site which looks similar to the student portal:



There are a few things to observe about this Phishing site:


If you inadvertently clicked on the link and submitted your username and password then your account is now compromised and you are therefore required to change your password as soon as possible. Failing to do so can prevent you from accessing critical services such as your Email, mySecureArea and myElearning. 

If you are unable to change your password, you are advised to contact the service desk via email to Please include your student ID and mobile contact which may be required for verification.
