We are pleased to inform you that the administering of COVID-19 vaccine booster shots and COVID-19 vaccines have resumed at the Health Services Unit (HSU). These services are open to staff, students and family members over the age of 18.

Booster Shots

Please be reminded of the update from the Ministry of Health that was announced in December which states that persons who received two doses of Sinopharm can now receive a booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine.

Please also note the following guidelines:

• Persons who received AstraZeneca, are allowed booster shots of Pfizer six months after the second dose of AstraZeneca.
• Persons who received Sinopharm, are allowed booster shots of Sinopharm or Pfizer six months after the second dose of Sinopharm.
• Persons who received Johnson & Johnson, are allowed booster shots of Pfizer three months after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.

First and second shots

The HSU has resume administering first and second shots of the Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson (only one shot required) and Sinopharm vaccines.

Appointments

The above services will be available by appointment only.Please e-mail Deputy.Principal@sta.uwi.edu or WhatsApp the HSU at 728-2408 stating the name of the person and the preferred vaccine. Persons requesting booster shots are also asked to include the last date of your second dose of AstraZeneca or Sinopharm, or single dose of Johnson & Johnson. All requests for appointments must include a valid contact number.
