General Notices

With the widespread flooding over the last two weeks, we have an urgent need to help our Campus colleagues. It is time for our community to come together to support and assist those who have been affected. We are calling on you to contribute in any of the following ways:

1. Relief items: items will be collected at the OSH Unit, # 12 Carmody Street (next to Film Unit) daily from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. The following items are needed urgently: non-perishable food items (tinned food or dry goods), sheets/ blankets, towels, soap powder, brooms, mops, latex gloves, sanitary napkins, toiletries, and gently used or new clothing – tops, pants and shoes.

2. Cash donations: monetary contributions can be made via the following channels

• Online Donations: Persons can make donations online via credit card using this link https://secure.touchnet.net/C24203_ustores/web/classic/store_main.jsp?STOREID=40&SINGLESTORE=true

• Direct Deposits: Persons can deposit funds directly to our UWI (Disaster) Relief Republic Bank Account #160-135-528-301 (this is a Chequing account) Alternatively, deposits can be made at the Cashier at the Bursary.

Our newly created Disaster Response Volunteer Team will be assisting with the coordination of these efforts. We stand with all affected staff, students and loved ones, and a time like this is when we can truly show our strength and goodwill.
