The St. Augustine Academy of Sport's (SAAS) Fitness Centre (also referred to as the campus gym) located at the UWI Sport and Physical Education Centre (SPEC) has adjusted its membership rates. 

The SAAS Fitness Centre is open to all staff, students and UWI affiliates and a variety of membership plans are available, including monthly, quarterly and per semester.

SAAS also offers different payment options including cash payments, linx, credit card and direct deposit/online payment. Members of staff also have the option to pay via salary deduction.

The Fitness Centre is currently upgrading its equipment and some of the usual machines have now been removed, in the interest of user safety. In place of this, Gym attendants have arranged circuit-training programmes, together with the existing free weights and other new equipment, to assist in meeting fitness requirements.
