A panel of student mental health and student success experts from the University of Southampton, Semmelweis University and the University of Alberta will discuss ways that educators and administrators can meet the needs of your students.
The webinar will what challenges the incoming classes are facing – from Covid-related setbacks to climate anxiety – and some of the existing problems that contribute to students’ poor mental health, including loneliness and cost of living crises.

Speakers will include:
György Purebl, Semmelweis University
György is a professor, psychiatrist and psychotherapist. He is the leader of the Semmelweis University Outpatient Counselling Centre and the director of the Institute of Behavioural Sciences. His main interests are insomnia, competence development and brief psychological interventions.
Kevin Friese, University of Alberta
Kevin is the Assistant Dean of Students, Health and Wellness at the University of Alberta. With over twenty years of experience in the field of health & wellness, Kevin leads a multidisciplinary team of health professionals that support a holistic approach to the wellbeing of students, their families, faculty, and staff.
Jazmin Reyes-Portillo, Montclair State University
Jazmin is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department and her research interests include using digital health technology to improve racial/ethnic minority youth access to mental health treatment for depression and anxiety disorders, implementation and dissemination of evidence-based practices in schools and community settings and suicide prevention.
