The Department of Modern Languages & Linguistics is pleased to offer free hearing screenings to the staff of The UWI St Augustine and to the students of the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA). This unique campus outreach initiative will feature the expertise of students from the Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology programme under the direct supervision of the programme coordinator, Dr. Kiara Matthews, SLPD, CCC-SLP. Attendees will undergo a hearing screening to identify any potential concerns.
These screenings will take place Tuesday 12 - Thursday 14 December between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Music Studio 4 , The Department of Creative and Festival Arts, Cheesman Building, Gordon Street, St Augustine.
Over the course of the three days there will also be informative sessions on maintaining optimal hearing health and preventing hearing-related issues.
