Posted Wednesday, February 28, 2024

The UWI St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Caribbean Urban Forum (CUF) 2024, an output of the project “HIT RESET Caribbean”. The 13th Forum (CUF2024) will be held from the June 26 – June 28, 2024 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

In addition to being an output of the project “HIT RESET Caribbean”, this forum is the major annual regional event on urban planning, development, and land management. It will be the main opportunity for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to share experience and knowledge across the Caribbean.

As such, CUF is inviting practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to make submissions for this year's Forum. There is no restriction on the academic or professional background of authors so long as their topic complements the CUF 2024 theme: Rethinking Caribbean City Management: Supporting a resilient Blue Economy.

The thematic areas to be addressed are:

· Sustainable Tourism

· Application of Digitally Driven Coastal Resilience and Adaptability Strategies in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS)

· City Management (transportation, public services, security)

· Climate Change: New and emergent risk scenarios

· Innovation, technology, and energy

· Changing landscape (urban planning and housing)

The deadline for submission of Abstracts is March 11, 2024.
