The UWI & TTMA Summer Internship Programme

If you’re a registered 2nd or 3rd year student, then this is an opportunity for you.

The UWI, through the Faculty of Science and Technology signed and MOU on May 4 2021 with the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) to collaborate on areas of Training, Human Resource Development, Process Improvement, Research and Development, and other areas of mutual interests, providing internships and training opportunities in the manufacturing sector. Through these opportunities, students will gain knowledge and aid their development of diverse workplace-ready skillsets.

This year, The UWI and the TTMA is offering a Summer Internship Programme to its student from June 3 to August 23. This programme will offer students:

-          Practical work-related training in the manufacturing sector of Trinidad and Tobago

-          Better appreciation of real-world expectations

-          Improved employment visibility by enhancing your resume and professional networking.

-          Enhanced employment prospects 

To be eligible, students must:

-        Be a registered full-time or part-time student of The UWI S. Augustine within the: Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Management Studies

-          Have a minimum GPA of 3.0

-          Have completed at least the second year of your undergraduate program

-          Be dependable, flexible and demonstrate initiative.
