Posted Tuesday, April 2, 2024

In the rapidly evolving higher education landscape, administrators play a crucial role in advancing and ensuring the continued provision of high-quality education. As the demands and expectations of students, employers, and society at large continue to change, administrators must proactively adapt and innovate to meet these evolving needs. Future-proofing higher education requires administrators to embrace a forward-thinking mindset that emphasises flexibility, agility, and responsiveness.

The ACHEA 21st annual conference theme focuses on the essential components in shaping solutions for fostering student-centeredness in higher education. These components include managing pedagogy, providing access to learning and support resources, investing in the professional growth of the workforce, modernising technology systems, making the pursuit of higher education affordable and meeting physical infrastructure needs.

The conference aims to bring together administrators from across all areas in higher education, including student support, teaching, facilities, registry, finance, business units, libraries and information technology, to present and discuss practical and theoretical approaches that address various aspects of administration and educational management challenges for future-proofing the higher education ecosystem. The sub-themes focus on areas of higher education administration that are of greatest concern to colleges and universities globally.

Sub-themes:

-       Supporting and maintaining an effective workforce.

-       Creating student-centric institutions.

-       Modern technology and the higher education administrator.
