The Association of Atlantic Universities’ (AAU) Coordinating Committee on Faculty Development invites nominations for the 2024 AAU Teaching Awards in the following two categories: 

- Distinguished Teaching: The purpose of this award is to encourage excellence in teaching in the universities of the Atlantic region by acknowledging individuals who exemplify such excellence and who contribute more generally to the improvement of the quality of university teaching. Click here to access the nominations guidelines

- Educational Leadership: The purpose of this award is to encourage excellence in educational leadership in the universities of the Atlantic region by acknowledging individuals who exemplify such leadership and who contribute more generally to the improvement of the quality of university teaching. Click here to access the nominations guidelines 

If you are interested in submitting a nomination please note: 

- Nominations must be submitted by our institution’s representative to the AAU Coordinating Committee on Faculty Development. Our representative is  Dr Leroy Hill, Director, Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Dr Hill can be contacted via leroy.hill@sta.uwi.edu

- The deadline for the submission of nominations is Wednesday, May 8, 2024

- Universities may submit a maximum of three nominations: two in the Distinguished Teaching category and one in the Educational Leadership category.
