The Centre for Language Learning (CLL) is offering language and cultural workshops and members of the public and industry stakeholders are invited to participate. These workshops are:

Delivering Core Competencies in the Foreign Language Classroom

Held on June 17, 20 & 27, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and hosted by UWI STA Tutor, Mr Brendon Best, this workshop aims to critically engage participants and participants with cutting-edge concepts, ideas, and global best practices in Modern Foreign Language (MFL) teaching and learning.

This blended course costs $800.00 and the early bird discount is available up until May 31. 

Introduction to East Asian Culture I

This workshop is designed for persons ages 10 – 17, who have an interest in East Asian Culture. Over the course of one week, July 15 – 19, participants will be exposed to the culture of China and Japan, and gain cultural and linguistic insights. This course will be facilitated by UWI STA’s Chinese tutor,  Ms Janine Lutchman, and Japanese tutor, Mrs Shiho Arakawa.

This face-to-face workshop costs $750.00 and the early bird discount available until June 14, 2024.
