The Counselling and Psychological Services Department (CAPS) provides free and confidential counselling services to all students of The UWI St Augustine. CAPS provides a safe and supportive space for students to:
- Receive support for emotional and psychological issues;
- Get assistance with personal challenges such as bereavement, health problems, homesickness, and relationship issues;
- Learn stress management techniques and how to practice mindfulness
No referrals are needed, students can simply schedule an appointment or stop by. To schedule an appointment:

Each faculty has its own counsellor and sessions are available both in-person and online.
Every Monday from 5:30-6:30pm at the CWRD, CAPS hosts Mindful Mondays, which offers students an hour to relax and learn basic mindfulness and meditation for stress management. This restarts on Monday 3rd February.
Safe Space welcomes members and allies of the LGBTQI+ community. Weekly student groups run throughout the semester.

CAPS is located at the Centre for Work Force Research and Development, which is the white building directly opposite the Health Services Unit (HSU).
