Student Notices

Students are invited to submit an application to be considered for Semester Employment.

The application deadline is Thursday, October 31, 2024, and semester employment is open to full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students of the St. Augustine Campus. All applicants must be fully registered before the October deadline.

Please see application details below:

1.       Apply via the online portal, which can be accessed by clicking here

2.      Postgraduate students only must email their résumé to career.place@sta.uwi.edu. Résumé should be named as follows: name and programme of study eg. John Doe_Msc Economics and indicate PG Semester Employment in the subject line

3.  All applicants are required to view a semester employment video, which is posted on myeLearning. This video will provide you with pertinent information regarding rate of pay, hours allowed to work, requirements for payment and other relevant details.

To access the Semester Employment Video on myelearning:

·         Go to myelearning and look for Useful Links on the navigation bar to the right of the computer screen

·         Under ‘Useful Links’ click on the Careers, Co-curricular and Community Engagement Link (which will take you to the departmental course shell)

·         Enroll when prompted to do so

·         Within this shell look for semester employment under Careers and Placement Unit
