Georgetown University in collaboration with the World Bank is seeking to hire a postdoctoral fellow to work on the Assessing the risk of Climate Change on population Mental and physical health outcomes (ACCLIMATE) study in Bangladesh.
This is a longitudinal study that is following over 15,000 people over four survey rounds across two years to examine the association between exposure to climate related stressors (heat, floods etc.) and a range of mental health outcomes (depression, anxiety, suicide risk, substance abuse etc.) The study will also examine potential mediating mechanisms of this relationship, which has been identified as a critical area needing evidence in climate and mental health research. A range of other hypotheses will also be tested.
