·       When is World Quality Week 2024? 

World Quality Week 2024 takes place from November 11–15, 2024. 

·       What is the purpose of World Quality Week? 

World Quality Week aims to raise awareness about quality. It also encourages best practices in quality assurance and enhancement. The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) hosts World Quality Week each year. The UWI commemorates world quality week to bring focus to the way we address continual quality improvement and to encourage everyone to learn about and take part in quality assurance activities.

·       What is the theme for 2024? 

"Quality: from Compliance to Performance". This theme captures the essence of UWI’s commitment to going beyond merely complying with standards, aiming instead to create an environment where quality drives our excellence continually.

At The UWI, quality is a holistic commitment to achieving our mission and realizing our vision through the sustained improvement of teaching, learning, research, and overall institutional performance. 

·       What can you do to commemorate World Quality Week?  

You can commemorate the week by:

Finding out about quality assurance on your campus

-        Do you know what actions are taken to ensure that there is a culture of quality on your campus?

-        Ask questions in your Faculties.

Sharing success stories on social media 

-        What are some of the good things in your Faculty worth sharing?

Participate in activities that can help improve quality on the campus

-        Do you complete student evaluation surveys?

-        Respond to evaluations and provide recommendations that can improve things, undertake actions that can result in improvements in teaching, learning, research and the environment.
