The Campus Estate Police have relocated their offices to Trinity House on Carmody Road – a modern facility that aligns with international best practices for security operations. The new location is obliquely opposite Car Search and the Teaching and Learning Complex (TLC) Car Park.
This infrastructure upgrade offers enhanced space for operational staff, improved delivery of security services, streamlined operational processes, and strengthened supervisory capabilities. These improvements will result in better situational support for frontline security operations on campus.
There is no disruption to the Campus Estate Police's usual services and minimal downtime is expected as telephone extensions are transferred from the previous location to Trinity House. In the event of an emergency, the campus community is advised to use the red emergency phones located across the campus, call 662-2002 ext. 83510, or go to the nearest security personnel stationed at various locations on campus.
Some of the locations where Estate Police personnel are stationed on the Main Campus are:
- Main Administration Building
- JFK Library
- Student Activity Centre
- Lloyd Brathwaite Building (Student Administration)
- Command Centre at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
- Office of the Campus Principal
- TLC Building and New Student Car Park
- North, South, Freedom, Heart Ease, and Administration Gates
During the ongoing examination period, Campus Estate Police have increased patrols in study areas and deployed additional personnel at exam centers.
The new Campus Estate Police offices are now accessible through The UWI Inn and the TLC Building. Additionally, the Shuttle Service is available to transport students to the new estate police building as needed.
