The Student Life and Development Department (SLDD) wishes to advise you of their Accessible Shuttle Service, designed to assist students and visitors with disabilities or medical conditions that affect mobility, ensuring that they can navigate the physical campus landscape with ease.
To utilize this service students must be registered with the SLDD. Registration can be completed either by visiting the SLDD Office or contacting
SLDD@sta.uwi.edu .
Here are some additional guidelines:
- Students are required to submit their shuttle requests weekly, at least three days prior to the desired service date.
- If a scheduled shuttle service is no longer needed, cancellations must be communicated to the department at least one day in advance.
- For any challenges or concerns when accessing the Shuttle Service, please contact Michelle Arrindell at
Michelle.Arrindell@sta.uwi.edu or call the direct line at 645-7526.
- The shuttle operates within the main campus of the University of The West Indies, St. Augustine. Please note that this service is not intended to function as a taxi service.
- The waiting time before departure from the pickup point is set at 30 minutes.
