The Department of Life Sciences is pleased to announce an MPhil research opportunity under the project “Sea Turtles in Trinidad and Tobago: Sentinels of Anthropogenic Stressors in the Marine Environment.” In partnership with Atlantic Technological University (Ireland), the project will explore sea turtles as indicators of pollution and climate change in our marine ecosystem.
Start Date: September 2025
Application Deadline: 12th August 2025
This opportunity includes:
- Field and lab work in Trinidad and Tobago
- Study visit to Atlantic Technological University (Sept–Dec 2025) to complete six postgraduate modules under the Our Shared Ocean Master’s Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- First Class Honours in Biology or Environmental Science
- Strong science communication skills
- Willingness to do field and lab work
- Valid passport and ability to register full-time
Applicants from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are especially encouraged.
