Students driving to campus are reminded that all vehicles must have a new vehicle permit for the 2025/2026 academic year. From Monday, September 8th, vehicles without a valid permit will not be allowed entry through the North and South gates and will be redirected to the Visitor's Entrance (opposite Freedom Hall).
Key Information
- Application: Students must apply for their vehicle permit via the online portal. Select the STUDENTS tab to proceed.
- Requirements: A valid UWI Student ID card is required. You will need to enter your 12-digit Smart Card ID number, printed on the front of your card. (Acquiring your UWI Student ID is a mandatory part of course registration. Click here to learn how to apply for and collect your student ID.)
- Collection: Once submitted, your permit can be collected. From Sep 02 the permits can be collected on the same day.
- Collection Point: Upstairs the Student Activity Centre (SAC) adjacent to the pool table area, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Click here for more details.
- Documents Needed: Bring your Student ID card when collecting your permit.
Collection by an Authorized Person
If you cannot collect your permit in person, an authorized individual may do so with the following:
- A valid photo ID (e.g., UWI ID, Driver’s Permit, Passport, or National ID).
- A signed authorization letter from you including:
- Your full name
- Student number
- Vehicle number(s)
- Full name of authorized person
- ID number of authorized person’s photo ID
- A copy of your UWI Student Smart Card ID.
