At The UWI St. Augustine Campus, everyone has the right to feel safe, valued and respected. That is why we are drawing a bold line against sexual harassment and we will not cross it.

Sexual harassment has no place on our campus. Through our year-long educational and awareness campaign which kicks off today, we are affirming this simple truth: every student, every staff member, every visitor can expect a campus where respect is the rule and safety is the standard.

Here is how support is available for you:

-          You are protected. Our Sexual Harassment Policy applies to all staff and students alike.

-          You are not alone. Trained Sexual Harassment Advisors are ready to listen, guide and support and every conversation is confidential.

-          You can act. Sexual Harassment Advisors can answer questions, provide confidential consultations and walk you through your options. They can also receive complaints and when appropriate, refer them to the Campus Registrar for formal investigation. You may request a consultation in person or virtually by contacting Ms. Kavita Maharaj on 662 2002 ext. 84317 or email STA-sexualharassment@uwi.edu.

-          You have a resource. The Sexual Harassment Secretariat arranges consultations, manages records with strict confidentially and supports awareness and sensitization activities across campus.
