The Math Help Centre (MHC), hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, provides academic support to undergraduate and postgraduate students across all faculties who are enrolled in courses with Mathematics or Statistics components. The Centre offers face-to-face and online assistance, helping students strengthen their understanding of mathematical concepts, enhance their problem-solving skills, and improve their overall academic performance.
Tutors at the MHC consist of Instructors, Teaching Assistants, Demonstrators, and Associate Professionals from the Department. They are available to guide students through challenging concepts and assignments and provide assistance by demonstrating techniques and skills needed for comprehension. They will not complete assignments, proofread work, or provide feedback on grades or marking. Students are encouraged to bring their course materials and their own attempts at their questions to each session for assistance.
