Webinar: Culturally Responsive Teaching in the Caribbean

Posted Monday, November 17, 2025

In today’s diverse and dynamic classrooms, higher education teachers need practical strategies to meet the cultural, social, and linguistic needs of all learners.

This engaging two-hour webinar, scheduled for Wednesday 26 November 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, offers Caribbean educators critical insights and hands-on tools to implement Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) in ways that reflect and respect the region’s unique historical, cultural and social realities.

Grounded in the Caribbean context, this session, facilitated by Dr. Juliet Jones, will explore how cultural identity, colonial legacies, and local knowledge systems intersect with teaching and learning. Participants will:

  • Reflect on their own pedagogical practices
  • Engage in dialogue with colleagues
  • Gain concrete strategies to build more inclusive, student-centered learning environments
