The Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) at The University of the West Indies (UWI) has officially relocated to its new home at 59 Gordon Street, St. Augustine. This transition marks a significant milestone in the Institute’s ongoing commitment to advancing gender research, transformative education, and community engagement.
To commemorate this occasion, the IGDS, in collaboration with the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA), the Department of Student Services, and the UWI Student Guild, will host a 16 Days of Activism Silent Walk and Student Art Exhibition. These activities form part of the annual international campaign against gender-based violence, reflecting this year’s theme:
“Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”
