Justice on the Move: Free Mobile Legal Aid Clinic

Posted Tuesday, January 27, 2026

The Faculty of Law, The University of the West Indies, through its Project Access: Highlighting Justice Shortcomings with Solutions, will host a Free Mobile Legal Aid Clinic aimed at expanding access to justice and promoting restorative and rehabilitative justice across Trinidad and Tobago.

This outreach initiative recognises that many individuals, particularly those in rural and vulnerable communities, face significant barriers to legal support and fair representation. Through this clinic, qualified attorneys and trained student assistants will provide free legal advice, while fostering legal awareness, equity and inclusion. The programme reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to a more just, informed and inclusive society.
