The call for nominations for the 2026 edition of the UNESCO/Juan Bosch Prize is now open.
Funded by the Government of the Dominican Republic, the Prize recognizes researchers under the age of 40 whose work focuses on Latin America and the Caribbean and who have made significant contributions to social science research and social policy development in the region.

Individual submissions are not accepted.
National Commissions play a central and non-substitutable role in the nomination process.
National Commissions are encouraged to widely disseminate this call through national and regional networks, particularly among academic communities, research institutions and public policy stakeholders and to actively identify and support high-quality candidates.
Many promising researchers may be unfamiliar with UNESCO’s nomination procedures; therefore, the guidance and involvement of National Commissions are essential to ensuring strong, diverse and representative nominations.
