The book traces Calypso Rose’s extraordinary journey, highlighting her rise in a male-dominated arena, her resilience in the face of personal and professional challenges and her enduring impact as a cultural icon, activist and global ambassador of Caribbean identity.

Authored by Gelien Matthews, Head of the History Department at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, this work forms part of a distinguished series that celebrates individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Caribbean culture and society.
