The UWI St. Augustine After-School Care Service is now open for registration, offering a supervised and comfortable environment for children ages 4-12 during after-school hours. Designed to support staff and students with young children, the service provides a practical on-campus solution for families seeking reliable care at the end of the school day.
Operating Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the programme is housed at The UWI Child Learning and Discovery Facility (formerly the Evening University Building), conveniently located next to Canada Hall of Residence and directly opposite the JFK Student Car Park.
At a cost of $300.00 per month, the service is intended to remain accessible and cost-effective for working families, while reflecting The UWI St. Augustine’s commitment to care, accessibility and community.
Programme Highlights
- Open to UWI St. Augustine staff and students

- Runs Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Monthly fee of $300.00
- Safe, supervised on-campus environment

Because spaces are limited, a selection process will be used to prioritise families based on identified staff categories, age requirements and other criteria to ensure equitable access. The initial focus is on supervision, with the hope of gradually expanding to include educational and recreational components based on demand and available resources.
